2. Data We Collect

We adhere to the principle of "Data Minimization" under the GDPR. We only collect:

  • Email Address: Provided by you via the waitlist form.
  • Consent Data: A timestamp and a record that you checked the consent box.
  • Technical Logs: Anonymized IP addresses and browser types for security purposes.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

The legal basis for processing your data is Consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). By checking the consent box on our signup form, you give us permission to store your email and contact you regarding WhisperIPO.

4. Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely in Supabase databases located on servers within the European Union (EU). We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Data Retention

We will keep your email on our waitlist until:

  • The WhisperIPO service officially launches.
  • You request to be removed.
  • We decide to terminate the project.

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

Because you are in the EU, you have the following rights:

  • Right to Access: You can ask for a copy of the data we have on you.
  • Right to Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten"): You can ask us to delete your email at any time.
  • Right to Object: You can unsubscribe from any future emails by clicking "Unsubscribe" or emailing us.

7. Complaints

If you believe your data is being handled incorrectly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese Data Protection Authority: CNPD – Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (www.cnpd.pt).
